Faustino from Rocket Espresso is a solid espresso grinder that closely follows in the footsteps of its older brother, Fausto. Its compact design does not compromise efficiency, and especially not silence; the rest of the household is unlikely to wake up when Faustino is grinding (which is something most coffee lovers with families have long struggled with...).

This direct-grinding coffee grinder has two programmable programs as well as the option for manually controlled dosing. On the elegant touch panel, you select the program and adjust the time settings. The display is easy to use, at least: press the R to activate, and then simply choose single, double, or manual to start the grinding. Micrometer adjustment via the knob on top ensures a perfect grind size.

The bean hopper has a capacity of 320 grams, which is very suitable for the coffee lover who barely has time to get home with a new bag of coffee before it is finished. With an Allen key size 3, the bean hopper can be attached to the grinder. The powerful 210 W motor allows Faustino to grind approximately 1 gram of coffee per second. This is a difference from Fausto, which has a 500 W motor, meaning that the speed is lower on Faustino.

Faustino's sleek and straight design looks very good next to a semi-pro espresso machine of any size thanks to Faustino's slightly smaller design. Compared to its older brother Fausto, Faustino may perhaps suit the slightly more understated and less semi-pro coffee machines a bit better. But nothing says you can't match Faustino with a larger machine such as an R60V; after all, it can look really cool to break the style a little bit.

The intake of espresso beans on Faustino is adjusted with a flat plate that can easily be pulled away from or towards the grinder. If you want to remove the bean hopper from Faustino but there are still espresso beans left inside, you can push the flat plate in so that it covers the entire opening and then turn the bean hopper upwards. This can be done for cleaning the grinder or if you suspect that a problem has arisen in the grinding mechanism. To clean Faustino, the bean hopper should be removed and a dose of Pulygrind should be poured into the grinding mechanism. After that, the bean hopper is placed back in position. Grind out the Pulygrind crystals together with coffee until no crystals come out of the grinding mechanism; a couple of doses usually suffice.

Rocket Espresso's Faustino is equipped with flat burrs made of hardened steel with a circumference of 50 millimeters. This is one of the bigger differences from its older brother Fausto, whose burrs have a circumference of 65 millimeters. This difference results primarily in a slightly longer grinding time for the little brother Faustino and slightly less uniformity in the grind.

The coffee grinder's grind size can be adjusted continuously with the help of a knob. If you wish to adjust it, turn the knob a little at a time. If the Faustino coffee grinder is reasonably well set, usually only a small change is needed. To check when the coffee grinder is correctly set, you can grind coffee for an espresso and then brew it. Experiment until the espresso is brewed at the right pace at the right time (25 milliliters in 25 seconds).

Faustino comes in 4 different versions: black, chrome, chrome/copper, and chrome/white. The latter two have two perforated holes filled with a color matching Rocket Espresso Appartamento.
