The CLARIS filter cartridge has an extra space at the lower end with natural active ingredients that stabilize the water in the tank and thus reduce limescale deposits at the bottom of the tank. This happens completely without any extra energy or impact, solely through the natural movement of the water in the tank, which allows the water to easily flow through the space. As before, the upper part of the CLARIS filter cartridge for coffee preparation filters exactly the amount of water required for a perfect cup of coffee using ion exchangers and activated carbon in the up-flow principle.

RFID technology also detects if a filter is in the automatic coffee machine and automatically activates the correct mode. The coffee machine continuously collects information about filter usage and notifies when the filter is used up. This not only makes filter replacement easier than ever, but CLARIS Pro Smart+ can also show its full potential.

Plus points for hygiene and cleanliness
CLARIS Pro Smart+ complements the proven professional up-flow principle, which filters exactly the amount of water required for each coffee preparation, with an extra space containing natural active ingredients. Plus point: The natural movements allow water to easily flow through this space and be stabilized by contact. This results in less limescale deposits and maximum cleanliness in the water tank.

Suitable for all tap water
Thanks to its innovative formula, the filter cartridges are suitable for all tap water worldwide. The effective granulate filters out limescale to a consistently optimal level (even with low water hardness) and reduces the amount of harmful and taste-altering substances such as chlorine better than ever. Minerals, which act as important flavor carriers, are preserved. The optimal limescale stabilization in the water tank and the effective filtration during coffee preparation guarantee very good hygiene and optimal water quality for perfect coffee aroma.

Automatic filter recognition
To enable a dialogue between the filter and the automatic coffee machine, JURA uses modern RFID technology. The coffee machine with the Intelligent Water System (I.W.S.®) automatically detects when a filter is inserted and then automatically switches to filter operation and starts flushing. If the filter's lifespan is nearing its end, the automatic coffee machine notifies that a filter change is needed. If this is not done, the appliance activates descaling mode. After corresponding use, a descaling prompt appears. This can only be performed after the filter has been removed. Errors due to misunderstandings are now definitely a thing of the past.

CLARIS provides the ideal water for perfect coffee specialties. The capacity of a filter cartridge also depends on the water hardness level.
