Monteriva Conquesta Whole Bean Espresso - 500g

We found inspiration for Conquesta in the area around Trastevere, where Romans themselves eat and drink. This coffee is a blend with flavors from across the old empire. It's powerful and full-bodied, yet with a soft note of dark chocolate that rounds it off beautifully. The coffee is perfect after a meal, whether as an espresso or a caffè latte.

Balanced Blend
Conquesta is a blend that suits most people. Despite the growing Swedish trend of drinking 100% Arabica blends, we believe that you need to add a few percent Robusta to balance out the taste. The more acidic Arabica can easily dominate and be perceived as somewhat sour if there's too much of it. That's why we mellowed it out with 10% Robusta, which grounds the blend and makes it more accessible.

Chocolate Notes and Versatile Enjoyment
If you want a rounder and more accessible blend, we recommend Conquesta. As the coffee melts in your mouth, the chocolate emerges, tempting you to have more cups. If you want to enjoy the coffee just as it is and pair it with something light, we prefer a piece of nutty chocolate or a subtly spiced cheese that melts slightly on the tongue. Conquesta works excellently as coffee with dessert or coffee in dessert. Try making tiramisu with this; you won't regret it.

Recommended Brewing:
Conquesta is best brewed for just over 25 seconds at a minimum of 90 degrees.
