Om Rocket Espresso R9 2-group espresso machine
The Rocket Espresso R9 was designed by the Italian engineer Ennio Berti, who wanted to achieve even more precise temperature stability for every perfect espresso. With water-filled brew groups to promote temperature stability through PID-controlled electronics in the boilers, made entirely of stainless steel, it's safe to say he succeeded!
The R9 is made for high-capacity service establishments that want to serve really good coffee. Ergonomic steam valves and a digital dosing timer simplify everything for the barista. Individually temperature-controlled boilers for each individual brew group ensure that each brew group uses the appropriate temperature for the coffee blend being used. Different coffee blends taste different depending on the extraction temperature; for the interested barista, individually temperature-controlled boilers allow for experimentation with coffee blend extraction and water temperatures.
The new system, equipped with a pressure sensor, makes a big difference for the barista who never leaves the espresso machine. The previous NTC temperature sensor that earlier models had works by taking up to 15 seconds for a noticeable temperature difference to be detected by the sensor when the barista opens the steam. Once it detects a difference, it signals the system to turn on the element to maintain heat in the boiler and thus also the pressure. This means that a certain uneven pressure can occur due to the time delay. The new pressure sensor sends a signal about pressure change directly when the barista opens the steam. At this moment, the sensor ensures that the system is aware of this and turns on the element immediately. This means that the steam pressure is more even than ever, and the hardworking barista never has to worry about a certain difference occurring. In short, the older one is a temperature sensor and the new one is a pressure sensor, which increases temperature stability when frothing milk.
The Rocket Espresso R9 is a well-designed professional espresso machine that looks really stylish in any cafe or restaurant. It is relatively low, which means that baristas at establishments with the machine facing away from customers can still talk to customers while making coffee. Unlike its predecessor, the R8, the new R9 has a new design for the steam valves and brew groups.
For an additional cost, the R9 is available for order with black or white sides. Contact us for more information and to place an order.
