MXA Black from Macap is a professional coffee grinder. The automatic system keeps the dosing unit in the MXA Black filled with ground coffee, which means there is never any waiting time to get the right portion. The MXA Black has a large bean hopper with room for 1400 g of espresso beans, which means you can grind coffee for approximately 120 espressos per filled coffee grinder. The coffee grinder's stylish and classic design makes the MXA Black look very good alongside an espresso machine in food service settings, as the shape and design match and complement each other.
The intake of espresso beans on the MXA Black is adjusted with a flat tray that can easily be pulled away from or pushed towards the grinder. If you want to remove the bean hopper from the MXA Black while there are still espresso beans inside, you can press the flat tray in so that it covers the entire opening and then twist the bean hopper upwards. This is particularly useful if you want to clean the grinder or suspect that a problem has occurred in the grinding mechanism. To clean the MXA Black, remove the bean hopper and pour a dose of Pulygrind into the grinding mechanism. Then replace the bean hopper. Grind out the Pulygrind crystals along with the coffee until no crystals come out of the grinding mechanism; a couple of portions are usually required.
The coffee grinder's grind setting can be adjusted using a rotating wheel and a lock on the left side. If desired, press down the lock so that it springs back. Turn the wheel either clockwise if you want a coarser grind or counterclockwise if you want a finer grind. If the MXA coffee grinder is reasonably well adjusted, it usually only takes 1-2 steps on the wheel. To check when the coffee grinder is correctly adjusted, you can grind coffee for an espresso and then brew it. Keep experimenting until the espresso brews at the right pace in the right time.
